Curriculum

 




Year 1: Foundation year - courses to be taken by all students except would-be BA Music B.ED candidates who may be exempted from the musicianship course. Candidates who intend to specialize in popular music may take a cognate courses TOR 101, 102 from the Department of Geography and Tourism.

Year 2: Music major candidates will take all courses except in their principal instruments which are elective. This means that candidates choose their major instrument at this stage. A candidate is expected to major in only one instrument. Candidates who intend to specialize in popular music may take cognate courses TOR 201 AND TOR 206.

Year 3 & 4: Same as in year 2. Non-music majors may attend only core courses and their elective.
