Description: The Educational Assessment and Research Centre, a non-governmental organisation, has been establishment to promote the development of Education in Africa as a whole, and Ghana in particular.

Goals :
  1. Promote education development through applied research and policy analysis.
  2. Improve education systems and programs through sound monitoring and evaluation
  3. Support the collection, dissemination and use of education information for education management and policy development.
Objectives:

Provide local technical assistance and training to government organisations, education development programms, and education institutions in the following areas:

  • Quantitative and qualitative research design
  • Performance monitoring and evaluation
  • Education management information systems
  • Applied education statistics
  • Test development and psychometric analysis
  • Survey development and administration
  • Geographical information systems

Who are we and what do we?

Together, the members of the EARC Board of Directors and Advisory Board have vast experience and expertise in education research, evaluation, tests and measurement, database applications, and curriculum development.

The members of the Board of Directors and Advisory Board are drawn from three of Ghana's institutions of higher education, the University of Cape Coast, the University of Ghana, Legon, and the University College of Education of Winneba. Most have experience working under donor funded projects including USAID, GTZ, and DFID.
